Bengal Govt reshuffles 26 IPS officers; Anoop Jaiswal appointed as IGP CID

The Government of West Bengal has ordered the transfer and posting of 26 high-ranking police officers. The Home and Hill Affairs Department issued the notification on January 5, 2026, reshuffling officers across various ranks, including Inspector General (IGP), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and Superintendent of Police (SP). These appointments, made in the interest of public service, affect key ranges and commissionerates across the state.
