Four youths were injured in a road accident at Chandmaridanga under Bankura Sadar Police Station, right in front of the Bankura Superintendent of Police’s office. The incident occurred when the youths, riding four motorcycles, were allegedly shooting reels on the road, according to local residents.
During the stunt, the motorcycles collided with each other, causing all four riders to lose control and fall onto the road along with their bikes. The crash led to panic in the area, prompting immediate intervention by people nearby.
Police from Bankura Sadar Police Station rushed to the spot and rescued the injured with the help of locals. All four were taken to Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital, where three were reported to be in stable condition. One youth, who was critically injured, was later shifted late at night to a private hospital in Durgapur. Police recovered two mobile phones from the spot and will examine the videos to determine the exact cause of the accident.
