Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Abhishek Banerjee faced significant hurdles reaching his "Rana Sankalp Yatra" in Rampurhat, Birbhum. The controversy began at the Behala Flying Club, where Abhishek’s scheduled helicopter was reportedly denied permission to take off by the DGCA. Despite being scheduled to fly at 12 noon, the Diamond Harbour MP remained stranded until mid-afternoon, as the necessary clearances were withheld without any immediate explanation.
The deadlock was eventually broken through an unexpected inter-state gesture of solidarity. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren provided his official helicopter to ensure Abhishek could reach the crucial political meeting. After hours of waiting and uncertainty, the Union Aviation Ministry reportedly gave the green light, but by then, Abhishek had already boarded Soren’s chopper to bypass the logistical bottleneck. He finally reached the Rampurhat venue by late afternoon, where a sea of supporters awaited his arrival.
The Trinamool Congress has termed the incident a "deliberate conspiracy" by the BJP-led central government to sabotage Abhishek’s political outreach program. Party leaders alleged that the DGCA was used as a tool to prevent the "second-in-command" from addressing the masses. Speaking from Rampurhat, a defiant Abhishek took a direct swipe at the BJP, stating that such "cheap tactics" would not deter him. "I am ten times more stubborn than their conspiracies," he declared, while expressing deep gratitude toward Hemant Soren for his timely assistance.
