PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
Abhishek Banerjee has hit the ground running with the campaign 'Jotoi Koro Hamla, Abar Jitbe Bangla' (No matter how much you attack, Bengal will win again). On Wednesday, the Diamond Harbour MP arrived in Itahar, North Dinajpur, to spearhead a high-octane roadshow. During the visit, he met with migrant workers who had recently returned from jails in Maharashtra, expressing solidarity with their plight.
Displaying a personal touch in his mass outreach, Abhishek was seen standing on the roof of his vehicle, waving to the thousands of people gathered on both sides of the road. He showered rose petals on the crowd and interacted with local residents, setting a direct tone for the TMC's 2026 re-election bid. The enthusiasm in Itahar was palpable, as the TMC leader vowed to form the party's fourth consecutive government in the state with an even larger majority.
Following the roadshow, Abhishek delivered a fiery speech targeting both the Election Commission and the BJP. He raised the issue of Bengali migrant workers being harassed in other states simply for speaking their native language. "If you speak in Bengali, you are branded as a Bangladeshi. There is a deliberate attempt to starve Bengal," he alleged. He urged the people to unite and drive out the "Asuras" (demons) from the soil of Bengal in the upcoming polls.
