PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
A massive fire broke out at a tele bhaja shop on Dum Dum Road in Ward No. 16 of South Dum Dum Municipality on Thursday afternoon, causing panic among locals. Two fire brigade engines were rushed to the spot to control the blaze.
According to reports, the fire started while food was being prepared inside the shop and quickly intensified due to strong northerly winds. The flames engulfed the shop within minutes, but timely intervention by shop staff, local residents, and firefighters helped prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
Preliminary assessment by the fire department suggests a gas cylinder may have triggered the blaze, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. The fire was brought under control after around 30 to 45 minutes, and no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
