Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A massive fire broke out at a plastic warehouse in Bantala, an industrial area in East Kolkata, on Monday night, triggering panic among residents living nearby. The warehouse is located close to a densely populated residential zone, raising fears as thick smoke and towering flames engulfed the area.
According to reports, the fire department received information about the blaze around 9:15 pm. Five fire engines were immediately rushed to the spot to control the fire. Those present inside the warehouse managed to escape safely soon after the fire broke out.
The fire spread rapidly due to the presence of plastic materials, covering an area of nearly 100 to 150 metres. Flames were seen rising fiercely and uncontrollably, making firefighting operations challenging and heightening concern among local residents.
