A young man was killed in a road accident on Tuesday night in the Telihati area of Jagatballavpur, allegedly due to poor road conditions. The deceased was identified as Raja Adhikari, who was riding a motorcycle at the time of the incident.
According to local residents Uttam Ghosh and Pankaj Halder, Raja lost control of his bike because of the damaged road surface and fell into a roadside canal. Locals suspect he drowned after the fall. Police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
