Trade analysts say the surge in advance sales reflects the franchise value of Border 2 and sustained curiosity among moviegoers. The film’s patriotic theme and association with a popular legacy appear to have driven higher footfall expectations compared to competing releases.
In contrast, Dhurandhar has recorded relatively lower advance bookings despite steady promotional activity. While the film has generated interest in select centres, it has not matched the scale of Border 2’s pre-release demand in national multiplex circuits. With Border 2 securing a clear edge, exhibitors are allocating more screens and favourable show timings to capitalise on demand.
