An Indian man identified as Vijay Kumar, 51, has been accused of shooting his wife and killing three relatives in a violent incident in the United States. The shooting took place inside a residence, sending shockwaves through the local community and the victims’ extended family.
Police said Kumar allegedly opened fire during a domestic dispute. His wife, Meemu Dogra, 43, sustained gunshot injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her condition has not been officially confirmed. Three relatives were killed in the attack and were identified as Gourav Cumar, 33, Nidhi Chander, 37, and Harish Chander, 38. Authorities said all three died at the scene due to gunshot wounds. During the shooting, the couple’s children reportedly hid inside a closet to protect themselves. Police later found the children unharmed and placed them under care while the investigation continues.
Law enforcement officials arrested Vijay Kumar at the scene and recovered the weapon used in the shooting. An investigation is underway to determine the sequence of events and circumstances that led to the fatal incident.
