Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed deep grief over the tragic fire incident in Anandapur that claimed multiple lives. Conveying his condolences to the bereaved families, the Prime Minister said he was pained by the loss of lives in the devastating incident.
In a statement, the Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia assistance of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the next of kin of each deceased person. He also expressed hope for the speedy recovery of those injured in the fire.
The fire incident in Anandapur has triggered widespread shock and mourning, with authorities launching rescue and relief operations immediately after the blaze was reported. Emergency services were rushed to the spot to control the fire and assist those trapped.
