Amit Shah claims BJP vote share in Bengal nearing 50%, targets Mamata Banerjee over “nephew obsession”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to West Bengal, addressed a public rally in Barrackpore on Saturday and asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s vote share in the state is approaching 50 percent. He said the trend clearly indicates that a BJP government will be formed in Bengal.

Addressing party supporters, Shah claimed that the political mood in the state has shifted and that people are increasingly backing the BJP. He said the growing support reflects public dissatisfaction with the current state administration.

The Union Home Minister launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she is “so obsessed with her nephew” that she has failed to see the pain of the people of Bengal. Shah claimed that her focus remains on making her nephew the Chief Minister rather than addressing public concerns.
