Secondary examinations began across West Bengal on Monday, with Kolkata Police Commissioner Supratim Sarkar visiting an examination centre to encourage students. He greeted candidates, handed them roses and wished them success as they entered the exam halls. Parents accompanying the students said their children were well prepared, while several candidates admitted to feeling a little nervous despite completing their preparations. School authorities said all arrangements at the centre were in place, and police personnel were deployed to ensure smooth and secure conduct of the examinations.
