The Lok Sabha witnessed fresh disruption on Tuesday after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi again attempted to raise the issue of India-China border tensions, referring to a magazine article citing an unpublished book by former Army chief Gen MM Naravane. The move led to objections and a ruckus soon after the House resumed proceedings.
Speaking to reporters outside Parliament later, Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the India-US trade deal. Referring to the deal announced by former US President Donald Trump and later confirmed by PM Modi, Gandhi alleged that “the PM has sold the country,” intensifying the political confrontation over foreign policy and economic decisions.
