A massive fire broke out at a bike and car garage in the Birgachhia area under the Jagatballavpur police station limits in Howrah district on Friday, triggering panic among local residents. Thick smoke was first noticed rising from the garage before the fire spread rapidly.
Following the alert, two fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot and began firefighting operations. Several bikes and at least one car were inside the garage at the time of the incident, raising fears of the blaze spreading further. No reports of injuries have surfaced so far.
