PM Modi announces $175 million for Seychelles; to boost naval defence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced a special economic package of $175 million for Seychelles after holding talks with President Patrick Herminie in New Delhi. The package is aimed at supporting projects in key sectors including social housing, e-mobility, vocational training, health, defence, and maritime security, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation during the Seychelles President’s three-day state visit to India.
