"Kolkata to get Water Metro connectivity," says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari
Senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar was admitted to Pune’s Ruby Hall Hospital on Monday after his health condition deteriorated. The 85-year-old leader was brought to the hospital from his Baramati residence following complaints of cough and breathing difficulty and is currently under close medical observation.
Doctors attending Pawar said preliminary examinations, including a CT scan, indicated a chest infection. He has been admitted for further monitoring, and a team of specialists is assessing his condition to decide the course of treatment. Hospital authorities indicated that he may be kept under observation for at least a day.
Pawar was seen entering the hospital on a wheelchair, though he was able to step out of the vehicle on his own. His daughter and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule and her husband Sadanand Sule accompanied him to the hospital and are present with him.
Party members and supporters have expressed concern over Pawar’s health, particularly given his age and previous medical history. Doctors have said his condition is being closely monitored and further updates will be shared based on his response to treatment.
