The mysterious death of a 24-year-old nurse in the Gopalpur area of Kanksa has triggered shock and tension in the locality. The body of Mandira Pal, a resident of Bishnupur in Bankura district, was recovered from beneath a multi-storey residential building on Wednesday night. A large team from Kanksa police station rushed to the spot after receiving information.
Preliminary findings suggest that she may have fallen from a height, but the exact circumstances leading to her death remain unclear. Mandira Pal was working at a private medical college hospital in Malandighi, according to police sources. Investigators have not yet determined whether the incident was a case of suicide or if other factors were involved.
The body has been sent to Durgapur Sub-Divisional Hospital for postmortem examination. Police said all possible angles are being thoroughly investigated. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked widespread discussion and concern among residents in the area.
