BJP Yuva Morcha protests over stalled Orange Line work near Chingrighata

Work on the Garia to Dumdum Airport Metro corridor, popularly known as the Orange Line, has remained stalled near Chingrighata for a prolonged period, drawing fresh political protest. Despite a court directive asking the state government to resolve the issue expeditiously and resume construction, a 366-metre stretch of the line continues to remain incomplete, with allegations that the delay is being prolonged on various pretexts.

In protest against the continued halt, the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha staged a demonstration at the site, demanding immediate removal of administrative hurdles. The youth wing urged authorities to complete the pending stretch without further delay so that commuters can avail uninterrupted metro services and travel more comfortably along the crucial corridor.
