PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
A plane-shaped balloon bearing the name and logo of Pakistan International Airlines was discovered inside the technical area of the Indian Air Force station in Agra on February 12, triggering a multi-agency investigation. Officials said the green-and-white balloon, with writing in Urdu and a thread nearly 10 metres long, was spotted in the restricted zone during morning hours.
Security personnel seized the balloon and registered a case after preliminary checks found no explosive device or toxic substance inside. Police, intelligence agencies and Air Force authorities have begun examining CCTV footage to determine how the object entered the high-security premises.
Investigators are also comparing the incident with similar recoveries reported earlier in border districts, including recent findings in Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar, as well as a previous case in Jammu. Authorities are assessing whether the repeated appearances indicate a deliberate attempt or accidental drift.
Officials said the matter is being treated seriously due to heightened vigilance, and further technical examination is underway.
