Political row erupts in Malda as 14 Bihar-registered bikes reach BJP office ahead of polls

Political tensions intensified in Malda ahead of the Assembly elections after 14 motorcycles bearing Bihar registration plates arrived at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s district office. The development sparked sharp exchanges between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP, with both sides accusing each other of attempting to politicise the issue.

The Trinamool Congress questioned the timing and intent behind the arrival of the motorcycles, alleging that bringing vehicles from outside the state just before the elections raises suspicion. Party leaders claimed the motorcycles were intended to create disturbances and unrest in the run-up to the polls.

The BJP, however, rejected the allegations, stating that the election process in Bihar has already concluded and that preparations are underway for the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal. Party leaders asserted that the motorcycles were brought to facilitate smooth election-related activities, enabling workers to travel efficiently across different areas during the campaign period.
