A three-year-old boy drowned after falling into a water pool while accompanying his pregnant mother to a maternity photoshoot near Bengaluru on Sunday. The incident took place in Giddenahalli village near Nelamangala when the child was playing close to the location as the photoshoot was underway.
Family members realised he was missing and began searching before finding him inside the pool. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The body was later sent to Nelamangala Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation. The child’s father, who works abroad, returned after being informed of the incident and the body was handed over to the family.
