Weather conditions in Kolkata and its adjoining areas are expected to remain mainly clear over the next 24 hours, with the Meteorological Department indicating no immediate warning. While skies are likely to stay largely clear, partly cloudy conditions may develop during the afternoon and evening.
On Monday, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may settle near 22 degrees Celsius. Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 20.4 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity ranged between 80 percent and 41 percent during this period, and no rainfall was recorded.
In its forecast for Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, the department stated that light rain or snowfall may occur at one or two places in Sikkim. Light rain or thundershowers are also likely at isolated places in Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Jalpaiguri districts, while the remaining districts are expected to experience mainly dry weather.
The department has clarified that no weather warning has been issued at present. Only slight changes in weather conditions are anticipated in the coming days, with overall stable conditions likely to prevail across the region.
