West Indies cricket legend Gary Sobers passes away; was first to smash 6 sixes in 6 balls
Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been served a final notice by the Jharkhand State Housing Board over the alleged commercial use of a residential plot allotted to him in Ranchi. The board has sought his response to claims that the property is being used in violation of allotment rules and warned that failure to reply could lead to cancellation proceedings.
According to officials, the plot, identified as H/10A and allotted to Dhoni in 2006, was granted strictly for residential purposes. However, an inquiry reportedly found indications that commercial activities were being carried out from the premises, prompting the board to initiate formal action. The controversy emerged after allegations surfaced that a pathology laboratory operating under the name “Neuberg Supratech” was functioning from the property.
The housing board subsequently launched a probe to verify whether the land use breached the conditions under which it was originally allotted. Authorities said similar notices have been issued in other cases where residential plots are allegedly being used for non-residential purposes.
The board stated that action would be taken in accordance with established procedures if violations are confirmed. Dhoni is yet to respond publicly to the notice. The development has drawn attention given his stature as a former World Cup–winning captain and one of India’s most prominent cricketing figures.
