A major administrative reshuffle has been announced with new governors and lieutenant governors appointed across several states and union territories. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Sharma has been appointed as the new Governor of Maharashtra, while Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain will take charge as the Governor of Bihar.
Senior BJP leader from Bihar, Nand Kishore Yadav, has been named the Governor of Nagaland. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been appointed as the new Governor of Tamil Nadu, while Shiv Pratap Shukla will serve as the Governor of Telangana following the latest round of appointments.
In another key development, former diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. Meanwhile, VK Saxena has been assigned the role of Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
Additionally, RN Ravi has been given charge as the interim Governor of West Bengal. The series of appointments marks a significant reshuffle in gubernatorial and administrative positions across multiple regions.
