Officials of the Enforcement Directorate conducted another search operation at the residence of a police officer on Wednesday morning after he allegedly failed to appear for questioning despite receiving multiple notices. The raid was carried out with the support of personnel from central armed forces, and the search operation has been continuing since morning.
Last month on the 3rd, ED officials had also searched the officer’s residence and carried out a prolonged operation. After the search, he was asked to appear at the CGO Complex for questioning in connection with the investigation. However, according to reports, he did not comply with the summons despite several notices being sent.
The renewed action by the central agency has triggered considerable discussion in the locality as officials continued examining documents and other materials at the premises. The Enforcement Directorate has not yet officially disclosed detailed information about the case or the specific reason behind the ongoing searches.
