Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has officially begun shooting for the fifth installment of the popular comedy franchise Golmaal 5, marking a new chapter for the long-running series. The announcement was made through a promotional video shared on the director’s birthday, celebrating nearly two decades since the first film in the franchise was released.

Akshay Kumar later confirmed his involvement in the film, expressing excitement about joining the comedy franchise. In the announcement video, Ajay Devgn humorously reacts to the actor’s entry, joking that no one leaves a successful franchise.
