BJP gherao 'New TMC' MLA Sandipan Saha's house in Entally, protest over 'cut money'
Political discussions have intensified in the Khejuri Assembly constituency ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections 2026 after wall writings appeared across several areas mentioning Rabin Chandra Mondal as the candidate of the All India Trinamool Congress. The writings surfaced before any official announcement by the party, sparking speculation about the possible nomination.
Photographs of the wall writings circulated widely on Monday morning, quickly fuelling political conversations in the region. The issue has become a topic of discussion across local markets, roadside intersections and tea stalls, with residents debating whether the writings indicate an early indication of the party’s candidate.
Reacting to the development, Rabin Chandra Mondal said he has no information about who wrote his name on the walls and denied having any involvement in the matter. He stated that he is unaware whether enthusiastic supporters or others may have carried out the wall writing in anticipation of the party’s decision.
Meanwhile, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party have criticised the development, claiming that the incident reflects internal factionalism within the Trinamool Congress. With no official candidate announced yet, the wall writings have further intensified speculation and political debate in the constituency.
