Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Violent clashes erupted in front of Vivekananda House near Kolkata's Girish Park area as BJP supporters and Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers engaged in a heated confrontation on Monday. The trouble began when a large group of BJP workers gathered for a protest march toward the Girish Park police station.
Tensions escalated rapidly as TMC workers on motorcycles arrived at the scene, leading to a face-off between the rival groups. Despite a heavy police presence and multiple barricades, the situation spiraled out of control as BJP activists attempted to breach the security cordon.
Protesters were seen climbing over barricades and pushing against the police line in an attempt to reach the gates of the Girish Park Police Station. Eyewitnesses reported that some protesters even tried to break the main gate of the station, prompting the police to intervene with force to push back the crowd.
