BJP releases first list of 47 candidates for Kerala assembly elections | Check list

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday released its first list of 47 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala. The announcement came a day after the Election Commission of India declared the poll schedule for five states that are set to vote next month.

Among the prominent names is state BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who will contest from the Nemom constituency. Union minister George Kurian has been fielded from Kanjirappally, while senior leaders such as Sobha Surendran and V. Muraleedharan have also been given tickets.

The list covers candidates across several constituencies in northern, central and southern Kerala as the party begins its campaign preparations. More candidates are expected to be announced in the coming days.
