Married woman elopes with lover in Jharkhand’s Palamu, takes ₹15 lakh jewelry, cash and two-year-old child

A shocking incident has emerged from the city police station area of Palamu district in Jharkhand, where a married woman allegedly eloped with her lover, taking valuables and cash from her home. According to the complaint filed by the family, the woman left with jewelry worth around ₹15 lakh and ₹1 lakh in cash. The incident has sparked widespread discussion in the locality and left the family in distress.

Family members said the woman also took her two-year-old child with her when she left the house. The sudden disappearance not only caused emotional distress but also resulted in a significant financial loss for the family. They claimed that the incident has dealt a serious social and economic blow to the household. After failing to locate her for several days, the woman’s husband and relatives searched for her at the homes of friends, relatives and acquaintances but could not find any clue about her whereabouts. Eventually, they submitted a written complaint at the city police station, requesting police assistance in tracing the woman and the accused.

In the complaint, the family accused a youth from the Harmu area of Ranchi of taking the woman with him. They alleged that the two had been in contact for a long time despite repeated objections from the family. Police have registered a case and started an investigation, saying raids are being planned at possible locations to trace the woman and the accused.
