Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to legendary freedom fighter Masterda Surya Sen on the occasion of his birth anniversary on Sunday. In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister remembered the revolutionary leader for his sacrifice in India’s freedom struggle and offered her respectful salutations.
In her message, Banerjee described Surya Sen as a brave freedom fighter and martyr who dedicated his life to the nation. She said his selfless sacrifice for the country would always remain memorable and continue to inspire generations. The Chief Minister also remarked that the contribution of Bengal played a crucial role in India’s independence movement.
On the same day, Banerjee extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Chaiti Chhath Puja, a festival widely observed with deep faith and devotion. She conveyed her heartfelt wishes to residents across the state celebrating the sacred occasion. In her message, the Chief Minister prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people. She expressed hope that the festival would bring peace and positivity to families celebrating the occasion across the state.
