Abhishek covered entire stage to manage sound issue after supporters complained

Abhishek Banerjee faced an unexpected challenge during his election campaign in Patharpratima on Tuesday. Just as the TMC "Senapati" began his address, a section of the crowd started shouting, causing a brief interruption. Noticing the commotion, Banerjee immediately paused to inquire about the distress. It was soon revealed that a sudden power outage had rendered the loudspeakers useless, leaving those in the back unable to hear the leadership's message.

Demonstrating quick thinking and a grounded approach, Abhishek Banerjee calmed the agitated supporters by promising to reach out to them personally. "Be patient, wait. I will go over there and talk to you," he assured the crowd. To ensure his voice reached as many people as possible despite the technical failure, he moved across the entire length of the stage, speaking from different corners to maintain the momentum of the rally and connect with every segment of the audience.

Once the technical issues were managed, Banerjee shifted focus to the electoral math for the 2026 Assembly polls. He set a high bar for the local party workers, directing them to secure a victory margin of at least 40,000 votes in Patharpratima. He also sent a clear message to the opposition, stating that they should not be allowed to cross the fifty-thousand-vote mark. This target is particularly ambitious given that the TMC won this seat by approximately 22,000 votes in the 2021 elections.
