A daylight snatching incident involving a schoolgirl in Keshiary has triggered panic in the locality after two unidentified youths allegedly robbed her while she was on her way to tuition. The incident took place in the Garage Para area on Wednesday morning, raising fresh concerns over public safety.
According to available information, the victim, Anushka Giri, an 11th-grade student, was cycling towards the Keshiary bus stand around 10:30 AM when two youths on a motorcycle approached from the Belda side. In a swift move, they snatched her bag from the bicycle basket and fled the spot before anyone could react.
The sudden attack left the student shaken and in tears, prompting immediate assistance from local residents who informed the police. Officers reached the spot soon after and began an investigation, scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the accused. Efforts are underway to trace the suspects and recover the stolen belongings.
