No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
A techie couple from Telangana was found dead in Bengaluru in a suspected case of suicide, police said. The incident unfolded when the 31-year-old woman returned home and discovered her 32-year-old husband dead inside their apartment. Within minutes of the discovery, she allegedly ran out and jumped from the 17th floor of the residential building, leading to her death on the spot.
According to police, the woman had sought help from neighbours and security staff after finding the apartment locked from inside and receiving no response from her husband. The door was eventually forced open, revealing the man’s body inside the room.
Investigators said a suicide note recovered from the husband mentioned depression and marital discord. Police added that the couple, both working as tech professionals in separate private firms, were known to have frequent arguments. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after post-mortem examinations.
Police have registered two separate cases of unnatural death and stated that prima facie, the husband died by suicide, while the wife took the extreme step shortly after in a state of shock. The couple, originally from Siddipet, had reportedly married in 2024 without informing their families.
