BJP gherao 'New TMC' MLA Sandipan Saha's house in Entally, protest over 'cut money'
A shocking incident has emerged from Begusarai district, Bihar, where an 11-year-old primary school student was found in a heavily intoxicated state after consuming liquor stored illegally inside his school’s toilet. The student, a resident of Siswa village and son of Mohammad Pervez Alam, had gone to the Government Primary School on Monday as part of his daily routine. The incident has triggered massive outrage among locals, raising serious questions about the effectiveness of Bihar's decade-long liquor prohibition law and the safety of educational institutions.
The gravity of the situation came to light when the boy returned home staggering and unable to walk straight. His mother, Rizwana Khatun, was horrified to find her son smelling strongly of alcohol and drifting in and out of consciousness. Upon questioning his classmates, the family discovered that the child had wandered into a dilapidated toilet building on the eastern side of the school campus. Inside, he found cartons of foreign liquor hidden by smugglers and, out of curiosity, consumed some of the contents.
Following the discovery, angry villagers and the school principal, Mohammad Murshali, alerted the Bachhwara police station. A subsequent raid on the school premises led to the recovery of 23 cartons containing approximately 204 liters of foreign-made liquor. The police confirmed that smugglers had been using the school's unused latrine as a "safe warehouse" for their illegal trade. The boy was rushed to a local healthcare center for treatment, and doctors have since stated that his condition is stable and out of danger.
