The body of a 59-year-old man was recovered from a locked room in the Murgihatta Kalitala area under Golabari Police Station in Howrah, raising concerns among local residents. The deceased has been identified as Dilip Singh, who was living alone in the room where the body was found.
According to local residents, suspicion arose when the room remained locked for four to five consecutive days without any sign of movement. Police were informed and, upon arrival, forced entry into the room where they discovered the body. The family of the deceased, who live nearby, were subsequently informed and reached the spot. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
