PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
A death threat issued to Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man from Gujarat following a joint operation by state police teams. The accused allegedly called the Chief Minister’s residence and threatened to kill him, triggering an immediate security response and investigation.
Police identified the accused as Shekhar Yadav, a resident of Banka district in Bihar. During the probe, his location was traced to Sanand in Gujarat, where he was working as a labourer. Acting on the inputs, Gujarat Police, in coordination with Bihar Police, conducted a search operation and took him into custody.
Following his arrest, the accused has been handed over to Bihar Police and is being brought back to the state for further interrogation. Officials said that detailed questioning will be carried out to determine the motive behind the threat and whether any larger conspiracy is involved.
The incident comes shortly after Samrat Choudhary assumed office as Chief Minister on April 15, raising concerns over security protocols. Authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and further details will emerge after the accused is questioned in Bihar.
