A minor argument between two brothers turned deadly in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj, where a 16-year-old boy allegedly killed his 15-year-old sibling with a pair of scissors. The incident occurred in Chaumukha village and has left the family and local residents in shock.
According to police, the elder brother had recently bought a new pair of shoes online. His younger brother insisted on wearing them first, which sparked a verbal argument between the two. The situation quickly escalated into a physical fight inside their home.
In a fit of rage, the elder brother allegedly picked up a pair of scissors and attacked the younger boy, inflicting multiple injuries to his head and hands. The victim collapsed on the spot, and family members rushed him to a nearby health centre before he was referred to the district hospital.
However, the teenager was declared dead on arrival. The accused fled the scene and is currently absconding, with police teams searching for him. Authorities said further legal action will be taken once a formal complaint is filed, while the body has been sent for post-mortem.
