Voting for the second and final phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections stood at 18.39% till 9 am on Wednesday as polling began across 142 constituencies spread over seven districts, including 11 seats in Kolkata. Purba Bardhaman leads with 20.86%.

The first phase of polling, held on April 23 across 152 seats in 16 districts, witnessed a record voter turnout of 93.2 per cent. The Election Commission and political parties have urged voters to participate in large numbers in the final phase.
