Passenger jumps from moving plane's emergency exit at Chennai airport

Passengers aboard an Air Arabia flight from Sharjah to Chennai experienced a terrifying ordeal early this morning when a male passenger suddenly opened the emergency exit and leaped from the aircraft. The incident occurred while the plane was still taxiing toward its final halt after landing at Chennai International Airport. Although the aircraft was moving slowly along a taxiway and had already exited the main runway, the sudden move triggered immediate panic among the travelers and a swift response from airport security.

Airport authorities indicated that the individual appeared to be physically unwell during the flight. Official reports suggest the man had complained of a vomiting sensation and had actually vomited twice during the journey. This medical distress is believed to have contributed to his erratic behavior. Despite the alarming nature of the jump, a senior airport officer confirmed that there was no loss of life, no injuries to other passengers or crew, and no structural damage to the aircraft.

The pilot immediately alerted ground control, leading to a quick intervention by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
