Both government vehicles assigned to the security detail of Firhad Hakim were recalled by Lalbazar on Wednesday. Hakim, who currently has Z-category security, reached Kalighat while the vehicles attached to his security arrangement were sent back to Lalbazar. According to sources, the government vehicles were primarily assigned for the movement and deployment of his security personnel, while Hakim himself has reportedly been using a private vehicle for several years.
Sources indicated that Hakim’s security cover may be reviewed and reduced later in the day. No official statement has yet been issued regarding any change in his security category or the reasons behind the withdrawal of the vehicles linked to his security detail.
