PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee has called an important party meeting at her Kalighat residence on May 14 following the party’s defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections. All senior party leaders, MLAs, MPs, district presidents, and key organisational office-bearers have been instructed to attend the meeting, which is being viewed as significant for the future organisational direction of the party.
According to sources, this will be the first large-scale organisational review meeting chaired by Mamata Banerjee since the Assembly election results were declared. The BJP formed the government in the state after winning 207 seats, while the Trinamool Congress secured 80 seats in the elections. Since the declaration of results, the party has reportedly been engaged in internal discussions and organisational introspection regarding the electoral outcome.
Party sources indicated that Mamata Banerjee is now preparing to take direct charge of rebuilding and reorganising the Trinamool Congress structure across the state. The upcoming meeting is expected to focus on organisational matters and coordination among party leaders and office-bearers following the change in the political landscape in West Bengal.
