Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh indicated a change in tone regarding the newly formed BJP government in West Bengal, stating that merely opposing the government immediately would not be appropriate. He said the new administration had only recently assumed office and should be given some time before being politically challenged. Kunal Ghosh remarked that there would be sufficient time later for opposition politics and suggested that the government should first be allowed to begin functioning and implementing its administration.
