PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
A political controversy has erupted in the Bamankhali area of Gangasagar in South 24 Parganas after a Trinamool Congress party office was allegedly transformed into a shrine dedicated to ‘Bara Thakur’ and ‘Shyama Mata’. The incident came to light on Saturday morning when local residents found the appearance of the office completely altered and religious rituals being conducted inside the premises. The development created widespread attention across the locality.
According to local sources, the Trinamool Congress office had remained closed since the declaration of the Assembly election results. Residents stated that no political activities had been taking place there for several days. On Saturday morning, however, elaborate worship rituals were allegedly organised at the site with offerings distributed among local people. The premises reportedly took on a festive atmosphere as worship ceremonies continued throughout the day.
The Trinamool Congress strongly objected to the incident and raised allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party over the transformation of the party office. Political tensions in the area reportedly intensified following the development, while local residents gathered at the spot after news of the incident spread across Bamankhali and surrounding areas.
