Senior CPI(M) leader Sujan Chakraborty launched a scathing attack on TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, mocking his sudden disappearance from active politics. Chakraborty took to the social media platform X to intensely ridicule the Diamond Harbour MP, under whose parliamentary jurisdiction the Falta seat falls.
Reminding the public of Banerjee’s massive victory margin in the last general elections, the Left leader wrote a biting post stating, "The MP who won by 8 lakh votes has now taken shelter at his Pishi’s (aunt Mamata Banerjee's) house!" His remarks came moments after Trinamool's Falta candidate Jahangir Khan dropped out.
Chakraborty highlighted the absolute irony of a leader who popularized the "Diamond Harbour Model" and confidently predicted a clean sweep in South 24 Parganas, completely vanishing into thin air the moment the party faced an electoral rout.
