Blood-stained body of youth recovered near home in Bankra, Howrah

A blood-stained body of a young man was recovered from the Rasiklal area under the jurisdiction of Bankra Phari on Monday, triggering tension in the locality. The deceased was identified as Saddam Qureshi. According to local residents, he was found lying on the road a short distance from his residence with severe bleeding injuries. Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital after being informed by locals, where doctors declared him dead.

Eyewitnesses stated that the victim had deep injuries on his neck and several other parts of his body, allegedly caused by a sharp-edged weapon. Soon after receiving information about the incident, police personnel reached the spot and began an investigation. The area was examined by investigators as police initiated preliminary inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Police have registered a murder case in connection with the incident. Based on the initial stage of the investigation, investigators suspect that Saddam Qureshi may have been killed at another location and that his body was later dumped in the Rasiklal area. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the sequence of events and identify those involved in the incident.
