The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has issued notices to two more high-rise buildings linked to Trinamool Congress leader and promoter Raju Naskar over alleged illegal construction. The notices were served to properties located at 37 Barowaritola Road and 5A East Kuliya Road, both of which contain residential flats.
According to available information, the two buildings together contain 16 flats. Residents reportedly became anxious after receiving the notices, fearing possible eviction or demolition proceedings. Two elderly women living in flats constructed on their own land through arrangements with Raju Naskar are among those affected. One of them is reportedly a heart patient, while the other is a widow.
The notices come a day after bulldozers were used against two allegedly illegal constructions linked to Raju Naskar. Civic authorities have also reportedly sent notices to several other properties connected to him as part of the ongoing action against alleged unauthorised constructions.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has also pasted a notice at the Tiljala office of Trinamool Congress MLA Javed Khan. The civic body issued the notice over allegations related to illegal construction and summoned the concerned individuals for a hearing regarding the matter.
