Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
The West Bengal government has released an extensive 12-page application form for the Annapurna Scheme, under which eligible women will receive financial assistance of ₹3,000 per month. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari formally announced the launch of the application process during a press conference at Nabanna on Wednesday, stating that applications would be accepted from June 1 for a period of three months. While the scheme announcement had generated widespread interest, the detailed eligibility requirements and documentation process became clear only after the government released the complete form later that night.
According to the form issued by the government, applicants are required to provide comprehensive personal and family-related information. The application mandates details including the name of the head of the family, date of birth, residential address, Aadhaar number, and the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. In addition, applicants must furnish the names, relationships, Aadhaar details, and other personal information of every member of the family. The form also requires complete bank account details for all adult members within the household.
The government has clarified that Aadhaar linkage with bank accounts is mandatory for availing the benefits under the scheme. The application form further seeks details relating to Voter ID cards, Assembly constituency names, and Part numbers of all family members. Families possessing Digital Ration Cards are also required to provide full details of the card within the application. The detailed form indicates that the government intends to conduct a comprehensive verification process before extending benefits under the Annapurna Scheme.
