A short video clip from stand-up comedian Pranit More’s recent live show has ignited a massive storm of outrage across social media platforms, leading to severe professional consequences for an audience member. The footage captures More engaging in his signature crowd-work format with an attendee named Himanshu Jangra. During their brief exchange, the Gurugram-based man candidly shared a highly controversial dating anecdote that immediately drew widespread condemnation from viewers online.

In the viral video, Jangra detailed a recent date he went on with a woman, mentioning that they ate biryani together which cost him around ₹360 to ₹370. He went on to explain that when the woman later requested a ride back to her residence, he told her that since he had already spent ₹370 on the meal, he intended to "recover" or get a return on that money. He explicitly implied that he demanded sexual favors as compensation for buying her dinner, stating, "Maine kaha ki ₹370 lage hain to use to wasool to karunga hi."

The casual demeanor and nature of the remarks triggered intense public backlash, with prominent internet influencers and thousands of users slamming both the individual's mindset and the comedy set. As the controversy gained momentum, Internet sleuths tracked down Jangra's professional background to an architectural and design firm named Starvik Design, located in Gurgaon, Haryana. Recognizing the threat to their corporate reputation and ethics, the company leadership took swift disciplinary action.

Starvik Design's founder, Vivek Vishwakarma, officially posted a video statement on social media confirming that Himanshu Jangra had been fired from his position. The company stated that mistakes have clear consequences but expressed hope that this incident would serve as a serious opportunity for reflection, learning, and behavioral change. In the wake of the public shaming, both the comedian Pranit More and Jangra have issued public apologies for the incident, with the latter deactivating his personal social media handles.
