At least six schoolgirls were injured in a road accident in the Balarampur area on Thursday morning when a vehicle carrying students to Chuyapur Vidyaniketan School collided head-on with another vehicle. The injured students were rushed to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital for treatment shortly after the accident.
According to local sources, the schoolgirls were travelling to Chuyapur Vidyaniketan School when the vehicle met with the accident in the Balarampur area. Following the collision, local residents and teachers from the school immediately assisted the injured students and arranged for their transportation to the hospital for medical care.
After receiving information about the incident, Subrata Maitra visited Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital and met the injured students. He also contacted the hospital principal regarding their treatment. Following the communication, the principal personally arrived at the hospital and ensured that prompt medical attention was provided to the injured schoolgirls. The incident is under further investigation.
